The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is preparing for its first major food drive of the year, and organizers say it comes at a crucial time for families facing food insecurity. "Food Fight 2025," the tenth annual iteration of the event, will take place on March 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing the community together in a collective effort to support those in need.

The food drive is a collaboration between the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank (WFAFB) and the Junior League of Wichita Falls, a partnership that has helped stock shelves and fill pantries across the region for the past decade. Each donated item goes directly toward feeding individuals and families in the 12-county area that WFAFB serves.

Food Fight 2025 kicks off to aid Wichita Falls families

Last year, Food Fight brought in thousands of pounds of non-perishable goods, and organizers are hopeful that this year’s effort will be just as successful. Community members can participate by dropping off donations at designated collection points or by making financial contributions to the food bank.
