A Wichita Falls man is now in police custody after he got into a violent altercation with his girlfriend, which may have involved the use of a chainsaw.

Last Saturday around 6 PM, Wichita Falls police responded to a domestic disturbance call at the 4600 block of Priscilla Lane in Wichita Falls.  Texomashomepage.com is reporting that Jose Jesus Garcia has been arrested, and accused for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, who he has been dating for the past nine months.  When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they interviewed Garcia’s girlfriend, and found the chainsaw that was possibly used in the assault.

Garcia’s girlfriend told law enforcement that he was incredibly intoxicated at the time of the assault.  She added that she was in fear for her life, and tried to get away.  When she attempted to leave, Garcia pushed her against the truck, and even injured her by slamming the truck’s door on her hand.   Garcia then started chasing her with a chainsaw.  Even though the chainsaw wasn’t turned on, Garcia’s girlfriend was terrified of his violent and disturbing behavior, and attempted to run away from him.

Jose Garcia was later arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault of a deadly weapon, and held on a $25,000 bond. This isn’t the first time Garcia has been arrested for exhibiting violent behavior either.  In fact, he’s been arrested three different times in the past for family assault charges.
