Crash in Jack County Claims Life of 16-Year-Old Driver

Texas DPS is investigating a mid-morning crash on Thursday that claimed the life of a Jacksboro teen.

16-year-old Zachary Ray Warren was traveling north on Hwy 281 in his 2010 Ford Focus and 64-year-old Rodney Lee Blower of Oregon was traveling south on Hwy 281 in his 2016 Ford pickup. Warren was attempting to make a left turn onto Hwy 114 when the two collided.

Both drivers were transported by local EMS to Faith Community Hospital where Warren died of his injuries at 10:59 am.

Blower sustained non-life threatening injuries and was later released.
