If you're looking for a way to burn off some calories on Thanksgiving, here you go. The Historic West Floral Heights Neighborhood Association is hosting their 18th Annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. That means you can get out, enjoy the fresh air, preemptively work off a few calories, and still make it to your big Thanksgiving celebration with family and friends.

The trot will start at 1300 Tilden Street, that's at the corner of Tilden and Tenth, and you can run, walk, or stroll at your own leisurely pace through the beautiful tree-lined streets of the West Floral Heights Historic District. The 5-K distance is two loops around the course and pets are welcome as long as they're on a leash.

There is no fee to participate, but you are encouraged to bring a canned food donation for for those less fortunate and there will be some fun prizes to win at the event. You can even get your picture taken with "Tom" so get there early!

The Historic West Floral Heights Turkey Trot starts at 8:30 Thanksgiving morning and is a fun way to start the day with your whole family, from runners, to kiddos in strollers. It'll also give you a great excuse to go back for seconds later.
