Local Artist Makes a Remix to ‘Put The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls’

With the Wichita Falls waterfall not operating currently. Maybe it's time for a 2026 update to the iconic 'Put The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls' song?

Well KFDX yesterday gave us an update on the timetable for the Wichita Falls Waterfall and it looks like sometime in 2028 at the earliest it will be running again. I was shocked to see in their video someone was driving around looking for the Wichita Falls Waterfall. I have always made fun of the 'Put The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls' song because I didn't truly believe back in the day someone was looking for a waterfall in our city. Is someone driving through Atomic City, Idaho asking 'Where is your atomic bomb located?' (Real city name by the way)

The Original 'Put The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls' Song

A campaign started in the 1980's to help build a new waterfall for Wichita Falls. Several people came together to help raise $350,000 to build the waterfall. If you were alive in Wichita Falls in the mid 1980's, you probably heard the song above while that campaign was going on. Looks like local artist, Polly Pocket has remixed the song. Maybe this is what we need while the waterfall is under construction.
