There is something kind of romantic about seeing a big, dark rain cloud from afar. The footage in the video at the bottom of this article evokes those feelings for me. But dang, I would hate to be under that thing. It looks like a wall of water just parked itself over a portion of Houston, Texas.

Dark Storm Cloud Looms Over Houston, Texas

While Texas weather is known for its unpredictability, meteorologists say conditions like this often form when warm, humid Gulf air collides with cooler air masses moving in from the north. In this case, the collision produced a fast-moving storm capable of intense rainfall in a short period of time.
