The guy in the video below certainly took notice of that famous Thunder Road race seen in the original Grease movie.

Or maybe James Bond's Aston Martin from the movie Goldfinger was his inspiration.

They have an actual use... kind of.

Apparently, the spikes are designed to increase traction and reduce drag on the race track, but on the highway, they can cause serious damage to other vehicles and even pedestrians.

Seems like a lot of work

Hey if the guy driving that car likes the way those things look, so be it.  It would drive me crazy trying to make sure I wasn't tearing up all the other cars on the road.
